Within a few minutes of Apple's announcement to enable VoIP applications over the 3G network, the software developer FringLand confirmed their app's support for IP Video over 3G on iPhone. The Fring iPhone client can support all manner of VoIP over Instant Messaging services including MSN, AIM, GoogleTalk, and Skype as well as contact list integration with FaceBook and Twitter. Fring also supports devices using Symbian S60, Android, Windows Mobile, J2ME, Linux and Intel's Moblin OS.

No doubt, leading mobile UC vendors will not be far behind in enabling their mobile phone clients to interact with video over Wi-Fi and 3G as with Fring.
