Mobile UC Features
Different vendors often call the same feature by different names. Here is a compendium of Mobile UC use cases to help standardize the developing feature descriptions and maybe group the functionalities in ways that help users compare the features they need to have versus those they might like to have. Generally, mobile phones have many other features such as megapixel digital cameras, MP3 players and calendars. In our estimation these are not germaine to the mobile UC market and therefore do not need description here. Of course, our upcoming research studies on mobile UC could cause this decision to change.
These feature descriptions were developed from the Mobile UC Buyer's Guide survey and refined for web presentation. Of course they are subject to change without warning. This listing is probably going to grow as vendor capabilities become more consistent and as product managers look for service differentiation.
